At Legacy Dance North, we’re proud to offer Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, and Legacy Groovers Preschool dance classes from our central Wellington studio, as well as in Eastbourne and Khandallah. With an incredible team of experienced, passionate teachers and coaches, we’re here to guide every dancer—whether it’s their first step into a studio or they’re working toward elite performance goals.
Each year, our dancers take the stage in our spectacular end-of-year Showcase, alongside a mid year show and additional opportunities to perform at community events. These experiences help build confidence, teamwork, discipline, and lifelong memories.

Our structure at Legacy North:
The Company: Our elite competitive teams will train and perform with a focus on national and international-level competitions. Dancers in this division will represent the studio at the highest level and have the opportunity to collaborate with industry professional choreographers on innovative, high-quality routines.
The Academy: The Academy is open to dancers of all levels and offers a high standard of technical training while fostering creativity and personal development. It supports both emerging competitive dancers and those who are passionate about dance but may not be pursuing it at the elite level. For dancers aspiring to join The Company, The Academy provides a valuable pathway - building the skills, experience, and confidence needed to take that next step.
The Lab - Weekly Classes - The Lab is an exciting space for budding dancers and creative minds. Here, dancers can explore diverse styles, collaborate, and connect with like-minded peers through inspiring weekly classes.
